This designation is offered by the Institute of Certified Bankers. The candidate must have some combination of professional work experience and education. This requirement can be fulfilled in one of the following three ways:
- have ten years of wealth management experience
- have five years experience plus a bachelor’s degree, or
- have three years experience and also complete an ICB approved personal trust training program.
The candidate must also provide one letter of recommendation and sign an ethics statement. Finally, the candidate must pass a 200 question multiple-choice examination.
